Flexible road tyre chains manufactured for use on passenger cars, estates, 4x4’s, MPV’s and light commercial vehicles.
Constructed from flexible thick galvanised steel cable into a diamond cross directional pattern for maximum traction, excellent control and shorter braking distances particularly on steep terrain. Then plasticized to protect the wheels from any potential damage.
Manufactured and assembled in accordance with ISO 9002 and reaching TUV/GS and now the OEN standard for quality.
With the clever design and ergonomic rubber clamping system these chains can be fitted within minutes, without the need to even move the vehicle.
9mm thick chains are ideal for vehicles with limited clearance between the wheel and arch and can be used with vehicles fitted with ABS. These are avilable in 9mm, 12mm and 16mm. Please check the listing title to see which ones these are.
Each pair of chains are provided with fitting instructions on the packaging and packed in a heavy duty stylish zip up bag for easy storage. Vehicle Tyre size must be checked before fitting and the relevant size snowchain.
Legal requirements for the use of snow chains when travelling abroad.
In the UK we have no legal requirement for vehicles to carry snow chains or any other traction aid during the winter.
In areas of Europe where they are more used to snowfalls it is a legal requirement to be prepared for such occurrences, particularly in alpine regions.
So if you plan to visit France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy or any of the Scandinavian countries you should be aware that there are certain areas where snow chains or other traction aids must be carried and without which you may be refused entry
